   Jon Valade, MGDC :: Creative Director

Effective design is not about the medium; it is about the message. It is the ability to convey this message to the intellect, and a feeling to the senses – whether it be on paper, on a computer screen, or communicated through the ear. Understanding this is what makes Jon Valade unique. Whether it be designing print material, multimedia, websites or music in his recording studio, Jon’s approach is the same – you must convey a clear message, with simplicity, beauty and grace. His style is modern and edgy but he always keeps the client’s goals at the forefront.Jon also believes that while creative talent is significant to the profession of Graphic Design, it is equally important to treat clients and colleques professionally and with respect.

Jon has been producing high impact corporate communication art in Canada since 1995 from his home in Victoria, B.C. He has a wide range of fascinating clients in Canada and the US.

Jon brought his incredible reputation as an independent graphic artist and website designer to IdeaZone.ca on December 1st, 2003. His vast skillset in website and print design, combined with a thorough understanding of marketing and a strong commitment to customer service makes Jon an important part of the IdeaZone.ca team.

As a member of the Graphic Designer’s Association of Canada, Jon remains in the forefront of industry changes and trends.
   Paul Holmes :: President

Paul’s marketing and software expertise compliment his role as President of IdeaZone.ca, a recognized leader in website design since 2000. In order to exceed client expectations, Paul has brought together a strong team of professionals and leaders. He also ensures that IdeaZone.ca contributes to the local community, and the online community, through open source initiatives and social media organizations. Most recently, Paul has gained recognition as an authority on Social Media, after organizing a successful online campaign for Flower Count 2009, as the Social Media architect for the Greater Victoria Chamber of Commerce, and as a founder of the Victoria chapter of the Social Media Club. Paul is also a contributor to many popular blogs, including his own, and regularly speaks to various groups regarding the effective use of social media.
    Katharine Holmes :: Senior Creative

Katharine is a noted graphic designer with eleven years of Graphic Design experience. She is a 1996 graduate of Malaspina University-College’s Graphic Arts program, an Associate Member of the Society of Graphic Designers of Canada, and has a diverse graphic design background.
   Peter Booth :: Photography

Peter brings a wealth of imaging expertise to his position. He is currently responsible for maintaining websites for clients, production for new websites, photography and custom image editing.
